Jamus Edwards - Pastor of Preaching and Vision

A native of Cadiz, Kentucky, Jamus attended Murray State University where he earned a B.S. in Organizational Communication and a minor in Youth and Non-Profit Leadership. It was during his time at MSU where he met the love of his life, Annie Leigh. They were married in July of 2005 and have since had James and Ellie their two children. Following graduation from MSU, Jamus and Annie lived in Louisville, Kentucky for two years as Jamus studied at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, from which he would later graduate with a Master of Divinity (M.Div). During this time, Jamus served as a student pastor in Northern Kentucky. It was in December of 2006 that Jamus and Annie were called to PVCC. Their motto in ministry has and always will be, “For the glory of Christ and the souls of men.”

Brandon Swanner - Pastor of Worship and Students
Born in London, Kentucky, Brandon attended both Boyce Collge and Liberty University and in May of 2008 obtained a B.S. in Biblical Studies. On January 15, 2005 Brandon married his partner in life and ministry, Tara. In the same year Brandon and Tara began to serve formally at Cornerstone Baptist Church in London, Ky where Brandon was pastor. After serving for three years at Cornerstone, Brandon joined Jamus Edwards on staff in July of 2007. Brandon and Tara are blessed with three children, Taylor Noel, Sydney Grace, and Christian James.

Jeremy Hatfield - Pastor of Family Ministries
A native of Eddyville, Kentucky, Jeremy moved to Owensboro in the summer of 1994, where three years later, he met and later married his beautiful bride Angela in the spring of 1998. Since then, the Lord has blessed them with six amazing children: Millie, Rudy, Mya, Grace, Keegan and Kenzlie. Jeremy continues to pursue higher education at both the Midwest Center for Theological Studies and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Though Jeremy has served in a number of ministerial/pastoral capacities, he was called to join Pastors Jamus and Brandon at Pleasant Valley Community Church in the fall of 2010 to serve as the Pastor for Families and Children.

Brad Rhoads - Pastor of Marriage and Counseling
Brad was born in Fort Eustis, Virginia while his father was in the army. Ultimately, his family settled in Madisonville, Kentucky where he graduated high school. He went to Furman University and graduated in 1990. After college, he attended law school and graduated law school in 1993. After law school, he practiced law in Nashville for three years where he was profoundly blessed and privileged to meet, date and marry the wonderful Marilyn Hudson. In 1996, they moved to Owensboro, Kentucky and now have five children, Madeline, Kate Bradley, Abby, Matthew and Rachel. He has been active in various local ministries including a local youth ministry, MentorKidsKY, Friends of Sinners and, most recently, have been most active in marriage and counseling ministry. God has granted Brad and Marilyn a heart to share the gospel, disciple and encourage believers through counseling and marriage ministry.
